No.8 Ball Chain Flogger Heads

IDE Toys' #8 Ball-Chain Flogger Head sits half-way between our very stingy #3 Ball-Chain Flogger Head and our very thuddy #13 Ball-Chain Flogger Head. With each ball having a diameter of 4.0mm, or 5/32", the average or "midway" diameter of #8 ball chain makes our #8 Ball-Chain Flogger Head sort-of stingy, sort-of thuddy when used in impact play, with more thud than our #3 and #6 Ball-Chain Flogger Heads and more sting than our #10 and #13 Ball-Chain Flogger Heads. Likewise, our #8 Ball-Chain Flogger Head is smooth and sort-of slithery/sort-of rough when used in sensation play, though again, with more roughness than our #3 and #6 Ball-Chain Flogger Heads and more slitheriness than our #10 and #13 Ball-Chain Flogger Heads. When used in electrical play, the middling surface area and middling radius of curvature of the #8-diameter balls of our #8 Ball-Chain Flogger Head creates a medium number of medium intensity sparks.

The base length for the falls of our #8 Ball-Chain Flogger Head is 18". The longer optional 21" and 24" falls store increasing amounts of kinetic energy, providing an even more intense impact for the same amount of effort. The base material of the falls in our #8 Ball-Chain Flogger Head is nickel-plated carbon steel, which has a smooth, relatively low-friction surface. Those with allergies or sensitivities to nickel should be aware that nickel-plated ball-chain will shed small amounts of nickel during the first few uses.

We offer our #8 Ball-Chain Flogger Head in 2 optional material finishes: brass-plated carbon steel and black powder-coated carbon steel. The brass-plated ball-chain is slightly heavier than the nickel-plated ball-chain, while there is much greater friction between each of the black powder-coated ball-chain falls and the bottom's skin, making both of this finish grabbier and thus a bit more stingy than the nickel and brass finishes.
